It’s spring and the weather is FINALLY warming up and you know what that means! Evening engagement sessions at the Naperville Riverwalk! Have you ever seen any Naperville Riverwalk engagement photography before? If not, this session is for you! Whenever possible, I like to plan engagement photography with a plan and a big factor is how the light is going to be. Golden hour is where it’s at for me and for Marie and Patrick’s engagement photos, we completely nailed the timing.
Golden hour is the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset where the light takes on a beautiful golden color and has a direction which adds so much depth to each of the images. Everything just takes on a life of their own when hit by this quality of light and it’s pretty incredible. To this day, I still get excited by seeing how the light changes throughout the day.
I met Marie and Patrick at one of the covered bridges and right from the start, I could tell that they were an amazing couple. If you have ever met me in person, you know that I talk a lot but that is one reason why I became a photographer in the first place, I really love getting to know people and hear their stories. When talking to Marie and Patrick, it was amazing how much we had in common, we even named our dog the same! Throughout the entire session, it was like hanging out with friends I haven’t seen in a while.
We went to some of my favorite spots for Naperville Riverwalk engagement photography and each spot with the setting sun just kept getting better and better not to mention how natural Marie and Patrick are in front of the camera. It is really awesome seeing two people truly in love with each other and I am really excited about how their images turned out. I am already looking forward to their wedding!
