When planning our wedding, we used the many tools that Vince offers on his website to help with timelines and making decisions about our big day. We were planning our wedding from across the country and picking a photographer was no easy task. I knew we wanted someone with the right photography style with a personality to match. We loved his style which captures emotions along with the beautiful scenery. After talking to him we were convinced he was the one and he did not disappoint. Vince’s skills and professionalism was beyond our expectation.
Our wedding had a lot of curveballs to throw at Vince and he did an amazing job in dealing with everything. We have a very active doggo that we wanted in the pictures and Vince gave us so many beautiful pictures that we quite frankly have a hard time picking out the best one. Our first look took place on a very active trail with lots of bicycles coming and going and Vince got us tons of amazing pictures. The family cabin where our ceremony took place was difficult to navigate because of the space but he got us the most incredible pictures. Lastly, I usually hate being photographed because of the way I look in pictures but Vince managed to make me look and feel like a bride in every picture.
Most importantly, Vince was a joy to work with. Our family was so impressed by how nice Vince was during the entire exhausting day. He kept his smile throughout everything but had no problem managing and directing people when needed. He captured all the emotions throughout the day and really captured who we are as a couple and family in every picture. We are beyond grateful to have these pictures to cherish with our family. I recently got Married and I can’t express enough how happy I was to work with Vince Griff and his company, Griff Photography, as our photographer. Vince truly cared about our wedding as if he were family and there wasn’t a moment, I did not see him going full steam. He has such a great eye for staging and detail but that’s not all. My wedding was in a public venue (the Zoo) and Vince was so great at managing the crowds around us so that it looked like we were the only ones there. He did an excellent job juxtaposing us with the animals and every suggestion he made was a winner. When we got our pictures back, of course they were beautiful, but I was surprised at how Vince had been able to get all the different family members together for individual shots. Things were so hectic I had no idea how he figured out who was with who and how to get everything, but he did! For all of the hard work Vince put in, I can’t believe how affordable his price was. He has several different packages that can fit any budget. But most of all he was just a delight to work with. Always a smile on his face. I said this already, but Vince really treated us like family and our wedding (and photos!) were so much the better for it. Thanks Vince!

I could not ask for a better photographer for our wedding. Vince was incredible! He is so personable and cared about our story and how we met. He is creative and he thinks quick on his feet. Unfortunately the garden that we wanted to take photos in was unexpectedly closed for the day, without hesitation Vince already had other beautiful locations in mind. It kept us stress free and in the moment. We appreciate him so much and would recommend him to anyone that’s looking for a photographer. P.S I’m not sure if he is the only worker in his business, but we got our pictures back in about 2.5 weeks! Kudos to him if he is doing this all himself!

Where do I begin?!?! Vince was absolutely AMAZING to work with from start-to-finish. He was super flexible when we had some “hiccups” during our day (like a late bride 🙋🏼♀️ and a crabby toddler), and was a master at keeping us on track to get rock solid photos – even when guests tried to steer us away. Our wedding was on September 2nd, 2017, at Public Landing in Lockport, IL. We had put our wedding together in two short months. We knew, just like you, that finding the perfect photographer was our highest priority. After finding Vince online, we browsed through some of the albums on his site and absolutely fell in love with his work. We contacted him, and he set up a meeting with us very quickly! We met Vince at a Starbucks in-town, and right from the introductory handshakes, and small talk, we knew we had found the right person. The conversation centered around our family, our history, our likes/dislikes… Vince wanted to know who we were. That spoke volumes to us, and it was only the first meeting! A few days before the wedding, Vince reached out to confirm his arrival time, and location (he met my wife at the salon to shoot her and her bridal party getting ready). His level of preparedness put us at ease, it was exceptional! You will come to know how stressful the day of your Wedding is, and you will be glad you have Vince in your corner. He didn’t just photograph us, he helped us through the commotion, helped us get everyone to where the needed to be to get the best shots. He even offered to sow the button of my rental tux back on after it fell off! That is the kind of person Vince is, the type of professional he is.
We were fortunate enough to have our Wedding in a historic building, next to railroad tracks.. it was the perfect location, and Vince took advantage of it! My wife and I were a bit nervous, but Vince was so calm, and he helped us to get the natural, romantic photos we really wanted.
I want to go on and on about how happy we were with Vince, he truly captured every beautiful moment. He has a unique eye for breathtaking shots, and the creativity, and knowledge to pull it off. I recommend him to all of my friends, colleagues, and acquaintances that are getting married, or know someone who is getting married.

We have so many types of pictures with different poses thanks to Vince’s keen eye. When my brother recommended him, I trusted that his work would be good, but quite honestly he surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend Vince Griff for your photography. He is a very personable guy, and you can tell from just one meeting with him that you’ve found gold! My fiance and I had met with several big name studios in Chicago, having mixed feelings about hidden fees we didn’t feel right. Meeting Vince was a huge relief! Where to start…..Well, getting professional photography done for engagements/weddings is oftentimes very expensive and it’s also uncomfortable for some people to take pictures in front of a stranger (I’m one of those people).
Vince was referred to me by a friend and was highly recommended. He did my wife and my engagement photos about a couple years back. He was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He was very flexible with date, times, locations…everything. He immediately made my wife and I comfortable in front of a camera and we took shots in multiple locations. He offered his expertise and opinions on some great places in Chicago to get some amazing shots. He did not steer us wrong! We received our photos incredibly fast and shortly after we took them. We loved them!
When it was time for the wedding a year later, we wanted Vince to do our shots, but did not know if he would travel since the wedding was in Pittsburgh, PA. Again, he was very open and flexible as he committed to traveling for the wedding. He never asked for much as far as anything that he would need from us, as he was genuinely concerned with making our day as easy and fluid as possible. Vince was like a ninja! He took amazing photos of the entire day/night without ever making anyone feel like he was down their necks. I can’t imagine the difficulty of having to get great action shots without feeling like you’re in the way of the party…Vince mastered this and everyone told us how nice and accommodating he was.
We received so many compliments about him and once we received our pictures (which were thousands; and all edited), we couldn’t have been happier. We got so many compliments with the finished product and he even put the photos on an engraved flash drive for us, as well as put together a wedding book of some of his favorite photos of the day…he nailed every photo in that book by the way.
I would HIGHLY recommend (and have already) Vince to any and everyone that needs professional photography done. Seriously…the nicest guy you’ll meet, the most professional person you may meet and one of the best photographers I’ve seen. I am in no way an expert in photography, but I do know excellent service, affordable pricing and amazing work when I see it. Vince exemplifies everything you’d want in all of the above facets of his profession!
