Becca and Dans Morton Arboretum Wedding was beyond awesome and had so many personal touches that it would be hard to forget. They got ready at their gorgeous family church where they have been going every Sunday since they were little. The inside of the church was jaw dropping; with the warm light from the chandeliers and the amazing natural light that was flooding in from the stained glass windows made this church a Naperville wedding photographers dream!
Becca wanted to do a first look with her bridesmaids, and what a reaction she got when they saw her. Everyone of the girls had the biggest smiles I had ever seen and couldn’t stop telling Becca how beautiful she looked. When Dan saw Becca coming down the aisle for the first time, he couldn’t keep himself from tearing up when the church doors opened. The ceremony was given by their long time friend and pastor making it a very personal and emotional service.
After the ceremony, we headed to the most beautiful spot in Lisle Illinois, the Morton Arboretum. One of my favorite things ever are trees, and this place has an endless amount of them from all over the world. The weather was gorgeous so we went outside for a quick photo session before dinner was served and to capitalize on the evening light.
When we went in the building, all of Becca and Dans personal touches were amazing. They thought of everything; from the custom cake topper that included a cutout of their dog to the name cards that were standing in white aspen cutouts (one of my favorite trees by the way). I love how they incorporated the trees on the inside as well as the outside and it really reflected their love of the outdoors. Throughout the building there was a warm vintage feel because of the old painted portraits hanging on the walls and the dark wood panelling.
For their reception, they chose to skip the DJ and to put their IPOD on some speakers instead. Everyone was so excited to put on their own songs on and this really got the crowd to have fun and interact. Becca and Dan left the party early because they were getting up early to catch a plane to their honeymoon. What an amazing wedding and an even more amazing couple.
