Kaitlyn and Kevins Public Landing Restaurant Wedding

There is no doubt in my mind that Kaitlyn and Kevin are madly in love with each other and its really amazing to see! From the first moment that I met them at the Starbucks down the street, I knew without a doubt that their wedding was going to be amazing and it definitely did not dissapoint! I also loved meeting their beautiful children who were so fun to get to know during that first meeting. All the way up until the wedding, they were so easy to work with and right away they felt like friends that I knew for a while. Their wedding day was perfect and I left that night feeling like part of the family.

Kaitlyn and the girls chose to get their hair and makeup done at Bliss Hair Studio in Shorewood on the morning of the wedding day. All of the girls were full of nervous laughter as I started capturing moments. They started to loosen up when two of the bridesmaids started to make everyone a round of mimosas. The women at the salon did a fantastic job and all of the bridesmaids were beaming as they checked theirselves out in the mirror.

I left before them to meet up with the guys at the venue. They decided to have their very own Public Landing Restaurant Wedding and the guys decided to get ready in the historic Gaylord building. When I got there, Kevin was just starting to get ready. One of the his buttons ended up falling off of his Jacket and the florist actually sewed it back on for him. After Kevin and his beautiful baby boy were ready, I took the groomsmen outside for some photos before the bridesmaids arrived. Most of the groomsmen were at the bar downstairs anyways so it wasn’t to hard of a time to round them up. They were pretty much up for anything and they were a lot of fun to work with. Almost right on cue, the bridesmaids arrived right after I wrapped up the photos of the groomsmen.

The girls got their dresses on in the bridal suite upstairs and Kaitlyns daughter was the one the stole the show. She kept hiding behind the curtain and would peek her head out and everyone would laugh including her. Kaitlyns sisters and mom all helped put on her dress and jewelry and her dad popped in when she was done and the smile on his face said it all.

I headed outside to get some images of the ceremony spot in the beautiful golden light of the setting sun and it was time for them to get married. The ceremony was shorter and to the point but the highlight was Kevin seeing his bride for the first time. He couldn’t take his eyes off of hre. The ceremony was gorgeous and the setting sun made it even better. Right after the ceremony, we went straight into family photos and photos of the bridal party. Everyone was having so much fun and we stayed right on schedule.

We finished with photos of the newlyweds and we worked with all of the beautiful spots that the Public Landing Restaurant has to offer. The light kept getting better as the photo session went on. I tried to focus on all of their beautiful wedding details and especially focused on Kevins watch which is grandfather gave to him as a gift.

We were right on time for the reception and pretty much went right into introductions and right after, the cake cutting. The speeches were hilarious, especially Kaitlyns sisters. There were a lot of funny stories of what it was like growing up together.

After dinner, the first dance was amazing and romantic as the newly weds had their arms around each other while never taking their eyes off of one-another. Kaitlyn dancing with her father was fantastic and was filled with many laughs as they whispered to each other on the dance floor and Kevin dancing with his mom was great also. I wish every family was like them!

The dance floor opened up and everyone stared to let loose showing each other their great dance moves. I managed to sneak the bride and groom outside for 5 minutes for a quick evening photo session. It was amazing getting to know these two and I hope they stay in touch in the future. 100% without a doubt one of the coolest couples I have ever had the privilege to get to know!
