Channing and Brett were AWESOME to work with and seriously one of the coolest / friendliest couples I have ever met! Channing is a designer who does amazing wedding invitations and she needed images for her holiday cards that she was sending out to her friends and family. We planned an evening holiday session in Lagrange and I met Channing and Brett at their gorgeous home. I couldn’t believe how fast the sun was dropping but I knew that we were going to time it perfectly for golden hour.
While riding with them to the spot that Channing picked out I had the chance to get to know them as a couple and I would have to say that they are perfect for each other! They were super comfortable with each other and both of them had me laughing the entire time I was with them. When we got to the spot, we had a little bit of a hike to the field that Channing was thinking so we headed straight there to capitalize on the fading sun.
The sunset was amazing and the gorgeous warm glow that was cascading through the bare trees really worked for the images. We were all hoping for snow but with Chicago winters you never know what you are going to get. We had to settle with a beautiful 60 degree evening in DECEMBER! Holiday sessions just like Engagement photography sessions are a really awesome laid back way to capture couples just being themselves. Whatever pose that I put Channing and Brett in, they were able to just add a little bit of themselves into it making it just a little bit more personal and from the heart. By far one of my favorite holiday sessions ever! Channing was already talking about making this a tradition and I already can’t wait for the next holiday season! Channing and Brett, don’t ever stop being so awesome!
