So excited to get these photos out! It was an honor photographing two of my friends who make one extremely amazing couple! Brenna and Mat met in high school and really started to fall for each other after driving to school together for a few semesters. They used to trade mixtapes at the end of Junior year (the first song on the first CD that Mat gave Brenna was I believe in a thing called love by The Darkness which I think is a pretty awesome first song) and had a bunch of classes together. They started dating during senior year after going to a movie with some friends and years later, they are married!
It is very inspiring getting to talk with such a talented couple like these two! Brenna is an incredible graphic designer and really seems to put her heart into every project that she works on (it really shows!) and Mat is such an amazing musician and when I say amazing, I mean AMAZING! I had the chance to hear one of his songs (it was a cover of Whitney Houston I want to dance with somebody which happens to be my favorite wedding song of all time) and words can’t express how terrific it was!
It was pouring rain on my drive to their house, and I was a little worried that we were going to have to reschedule but luckily when I got there the rain stopped and it actually wasn’t all that cold out. I don’t think I have ever laughed so much on a photo session as I did with these two. They were so comfortable with each other that the little personal touches that they added to each image really made them. While editing, I was still laughing out loud about some of the jokes they were saying! I am very happy that two awesome people like these two found each other and that I had the chance to document some of the love that they have for each other! Brenna and Mat, you are seriously one amazing couple!
